Being based in Silicon Valley, it is easy to think I am right at the epicenter of the VC world.

While that case can be made, the share of Silicon Valley of all VC investments in the US is “only” around 40 % (of total money invested).

That may not be a great surprise, but I found one trend presented in the latest PWC MoneyTree report (www.pwcmoneytree.com) a little startling: despite the turmoil in the last 10 or so years, the relative share of Silicon Valley has nearly doubled since 1995 and is actually still going up.

Maybe we are becoming the center of the universe, after all…
